Mary Kenny

Mary Kenny has been widely acclaimed as a journalist, author and social commentator. Her books include Why Christianity Works and Goodbye to Catholic Ireland.

Mary was born and educated in Dublin, Ireland. She now lives in London and her work has regularly appeared in The Daily Telegraph, The Spectator, the Evening Standard and Punch. Mary is often quoted by the BBC articulating the moral challenges facing the western world and defending Christianity in general. In Dublin, Mary is a featured columnist for the Independent and The Irish Catholic.

Never one to worry about taking the politically incorrect view, Mary Kenny is a staunch supporter of the Catholic Church, marriage, and the sanctity of human life. “I am not uncritical of the Catholic Church, but I am aware . . . that all human institutions are flawed. And because of the doctrine of original sin, which I have found to be an essential aspect of understanding human nature, they always will be. “

Mary Kenny once wrote a book that examined the challenges of career and motherhood. She was later quoted as saying of motherhood, “Becoming a mother was the making of the Catholic in me. A rebellious critic of the Catholic Church previously, I suddenly had this very strong urge to return to the faith: you might say it gushed in with mother's milk.”

“I suddenly knew that the notion that children can grow up in a vacuum where they can choose their own values in a context of perfect neutrality is nonsense. The culture all around us, from television adverts to the ubiquity of the public house, is already loaded with propaganda. You are already enculturated by the age of three. There was also an historical element: I wanted to transmit some of the deposit of Christian history to my child and children. We don't reinvent the wheel; we build on what we inherit.”

Millions of people are exposed to the “radical views” of this DOTK who would not be caught dead reading or listening to the works of Billy Graham or Kenneth Copeland. God has placed Mary Kenny in a prominent spot in the world of journalism and has asked her to be His voice on many occasions. Mary is always faithful to say and write the Truth, no matter how unpopular.

To every Daughter of the King: Mary is out on the front lines and she needs prayer cover!

To Mary Kenny: YOU GO, GIRL!!!
